As we import the vast majority of our inventory directly from England,
we do sometimes have to update our prices as the currency exchanges
fluctuate. Please keep in mind that antiques are appreciable commodities
and rarely, if ever, go down in price. While we strive to make sure
that all information on our website is accurate, sometimes typing errors
do occur. Wellesley House, Ltd. reserves the right to make corrections
to the price or item descriptions before or after a transaction has
been made. If a pricing error has occurred, the client will notified
by Wellesley House, Ltd. and the appropriate steps will be taken to
rectify the transaction to both parties' satisfaction.
Wellesley House, Ltd accepts most major credit cards; Visa, Mastercard,
American Express & Discover. Cash, Money Orders and Personal Checks
are also accepted with the understanding that your items will be shipped
to you once your check has cleared.
Wellesley House, Ltd can make arrangements to ship our pieces to just
about anywhere in the world. We personally pack all of our items so
that you can be assured that your delicate antiques are professionally
packaged. We also fully insure each piece in the event of an unforeseen
accident. Shipping cost are usually quoted at the time of purchase as
shipping fees cary depending on size, value and intended destination.
We prefer to use Federal Express Home Delivery for the majority of our
shipments so that the items sent can be insured for their full value.
Overnight delivery or special freight can be arranged for an additional
charge. Arrangements can also be made to set up oversize items in your

We strive to ensure that you are completely satisfied with the antiques
you are purchasing. If you are dissatisfied for any reason, returns
will be accepted for a period of ten (10) days from the initial date
of purchase for a full refund (minus any shipping charges). We must
be informed by telephone of all impending returns. After ten (10) days
from the original purchase date all sales are final. Any item returned
must be in original, unaltered condition with accompanying sales receipt
from Wellesley House, Ltd. Advance arrangements can be made for certain
items to be sent out on approval with the understanding that it must
be returned within 48 hours if you have decided not to purchase the
piece. If it is not received by the agreed to date, your credit card
will be charged the full retail value plus any associated shipping charges.
Exceptions to this are items selected from our booths at antiques shows.
All items on approval must be returned within 24 hours or by the close
of the last business day of the show - whichever come first!

to the CITIES committee for all the proper governmental documentation
before it even leaves the United Kingdom. (A CITIES document authenticates
that the items submitted for inspection are without doubt over a 100
years old and thus can be exported our of the country.) State side we
annually request a Federal Fish and Wildlife Permit from the Department
of the Interior US Fish and Wildlife Service. This essential import/export
license is only issued to those business who agree to "strict observance
of all applicable foreign, state, local or other federal law" regarding
House, Ltd guarantee the authenticity of all antiques sold, without
time limit, to the original purchaser. We stand behind our pieces, so
